is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and the Director of Clinical Services at JFS. Sheree received her Master’s in Social Work from Eastern Michigan University with a focus on Children and Families and is a fully licensed Master’s Level Social Worker in the state of Michigan for both clinical and macro practice. Sheree believes that effective therapy is dependent on a good fit between patient and clinician and strives to create a safe environment for clients to discuss thoughts and feelings without fear of judgment. Sheree has training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, psychodynamic therapy, solution-focused, and family therapy. Sheree helps adults, children, and families gain a deeper understanding of their behaviors, thoughts, and feelings to better their lives. Sheree’s specialties include working with children and adults who have anxiety, mood disorders, trauma and grief and loss. She is a certificate Trauma Consultant from the TLC Institute and has been in the field of social work for 19 years.
is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, receiving both her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Michigan. Kate has been working at Jewish Family Services of Washtenaw County since February 2014 as a clinician and is the Clinical and Community Services Manage. Kate has experience working with individuals across all age groups and utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), trauma-focused CBT, and interpersonal therapy for treatment of anxiety, depression, trauma, and other mental health concerns. Kate believes that choosing psychotherapy for support and assistance in facing the challenges of life is an important step for many individuals and it is important to have a clinician who can collaborate and engage with clients to incorporate their strengths and unique life experiences in creating goals that best meet their needs, wants, hopes, and desires.
is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, qualified to provide individual, family and couples counseling. She obtained her Master’s degree in social work from Wayne State University. Asmaa has worked at the Arab American and Chaldean Council as a clinical therapist for over 4 years and joined Jewish Family Services of Washtenaw County in June of 2014 as a contractual therapist servicing the geriatric population and new refugees. Asmaa finds working with a diverse population extremely rewarding.
is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has been working at Jewish Family Services of Washtenaw County since 2014. Sharon received her Master’s Degree in Social Work from Binghamton University in New York with a focus in clinical practice. Sharon has experience working with individuals across the lifespan with a range of issues, including depression, anxiety, trauma, and life transitions. She also has experience in group therapy and family therapy. Sharon has experience utilizing strengths-based therapeutic approaches to engage clients and assist them in meeting their goals for treatment.
is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who received her Bachelors degree from Duke University and her Masters in Social Work from the University of Michigan. Sarah completed a two-year post graduate fellowship in Psychiatry at the University of Michigan Depression Center in 2009. The bulk of Sarah’s clinical career has been spent treating anxiety, depression, stress management, college mental health and helping people cope with major medical illnesses (including, but not limited to Cancer and its treatment) and transitions. Sarah utilizes a variety of evidence-based treatment modalities (including CBT and mindfulness-based psychotherapies) to help clients navigate their life experiences, reduce negative symptoms and achieve their highest potential.
who has been working at Jewish Family Services of Washtenaw County since 2013. Shrina received her Bachelors in Social Work from Eastern Michigan University and her Masters in Social Work from University of Michigan. Shrina works primarily with individuals that struggle with a variety of issues which includes but is not limited to anxiety, depression, and major life transitions. Shrina engages each client with empathy, compassion, and understanding. Shrina also utilizes a variety of treatment modalities to assist each client in moving forward and reaching their goals.
and a National Certified Counselor and holds a Bachelor’s degree from University of Michigan in both Psychology and Middle Eastern studies; as well as a Master's degree in Community Counseling from Eastern Michigan University. She joined JFS in 2013 and holds licensure in the State of Michigan to practice counseling. She works with children, adults, and families on a broad spectrum of issues; including trauma, depression, anxiety, stress, isolation, cultural issues, and career development. She has experience working in various community agencies serving survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault, immigrants and refugees, abused and neglected children, and homeless families.
is a Limited Licensed Clinical Social Worker through the state of Michigan. Leah received her Master’s in Social Work from Metropolitan State University of Denver with a focus on children and families. Leah has worked with clients of all ages in many different settings including schools and in the community. Leah has been working at Jewish Family Services of Washtenaw County since 2014.
is a Limited Licensed Professional Counselor and holds a Bachelor’s degree from University of Michigan in Psychology; as well as a Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Eastern Michigan University. Sylvia has been working at Jewish Family Services since June 2014 and holds licensure in the State of Michigan to practice counseling. She works with adolescents, teenagers and adults on a broad spectrum of issues; including depression, grief, anxiety, trauma, stress, personality disorders, transgender issues and career development. She also has experience in group therapy. Sylvia uses an eclectic therapeutic approach to meet the differing needs of the clients and to help them work towards and create a more meaningful and satisfying life.

If you are over 65, we are able to bill Medicare and any supplemental coverage. If you are under 65, we are on many insurance panels that will allow us to bill your insurance company and just collect co-pays from you. A sliding fee scale is available for the uninsured. Please contact us to find out if we are on your insurance company’s panel.
